Busy Weekend: Come Join Us

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead of us and we hope you’ll be a part of it too.

Saturday, September 17 brings a chance to do good while enjoying great food and drink, this time at the Mission District’s own Hog & Rocks restaurant. Hog & Rocks cook Gaspar “Tio” Puch-tzek was slain outside the restaurant two weeks ago, spurring friends and coworkers of the 22-year-old father of two to stage a silent auction and fundraiser for his family. FourBarrel is proud to be included among the contributors to this event, scheduled for 11am to 4pm. San Francisco can be a tough and dangerous city, but it’s also filled with love and generosity. Come share yours with Puch-tzek’s family, and bid on great prizes donated by the local food community: http://insidescoopsf.sfgate.com/blog/2011/09/07/how-you-can-help-the-family-of-the-slain-hog-rocks-cook/

On Sunday, September 18, we’ll join FourBarrel friends Bar Agricole and Delfina among other great locals to raise funds for the OneVietnam organization. Charles Phan of The Slanted Door will serve as host for the charity gala, which will fill San Francisco’s Ferry Building with “street food” versions of the City’s great restaurants and the state’s great wines from 6 to 9:30pm. Fans of FourBarrel can use the discount code “STREETEATS30” to receive a 30% discount on one of the few tickets left. Gala attendees will also have the opportunity to bid for a special one-of-a-kind FourBarrel experience. And one more thing… it’s all for a really great cause: http://go.onevietnam.org/streeteats/
