Chasing Lions Cafe
Ever tried chasing a lion? Ever chased a dream? It’s quite scary, and you could get bit, but we’d do it anyway.
Since opening in the summer of 2012, Chasing Lions Cafe has warmed up the chilly City College SF Ocean Ave campus with homemade soups and sandwiches, their eclectic cast of characters… and Four Barrel Coffee, naturally. They’ve quickly become the soul of the CCSF community, hosting student-made markets for aspiring entrepreneurs, displaying photo exhibits of customers’ tattoos, and collaborating with environmental student groups to build sustainable aquaponic gardens in their front plaza.
It’s easy to say, “We combine great food and drink with intense community focus.” It’s a lot harder to actually try to do it. Like chasing a lion.
Open Mon-Thurs 7am-8pm, Sat 8am-3pm (when school is in session)
